Sanford, Fla. — Consolidated Label Co., a leading manufacturer of custom labels in the United States, has added an HP Indigo 8000 digital press to its production lineup to keep up with increased demand for digital printing capabilities for labels. This latest addition will enable the company to expand production capacity, reduce set-up costs, and improve turnaround time.
The HP Indigo 8000 press offers end-to-end label production at up to 262 feet per minute – more than double the speed of other narrow-web digital label presses. Its “HP ElectroInk” technology is the only digital color printing process that matches gravure printing, delivering high-resolution printing, and perfect registration¹.
Brand color standards can also be easily met by using up to 7 ink stations and a color gamut that reaches up to 97% of PANTONE® colors. Not only does the HP Indigo 8000 excel in color quality, accuracy, and repeatability, it can print a wide range of applications with easy and quick changeovers, such as pressure-sensitive labels and shrink sleeves.
“Investing in technology plays a key role in our ongoing commitment to provide customers exceptional service and products,” said Joel Carmany, president of Consolidated Label. “After an exhaustive process to evaluate all the options for our next press, the HP Indigo 8000 was the right choice to help us do that.”
