Wind directions (also known as ‘unwind’) are a small but important detail when we print roll labels. Pronounced the way you would say ‘wind up toy,’ wind direction refers to the way your label is positioned when it’s coming off of a roll. Selecting a wind direction may seem insignificant at first glance but it makes a big difference when it comes to application – especially if you’ll be applying labels with an applicator or machine. Our video below explains what you need to know about wind direction so your labels work seamlessly when it’s time to apply them.
The unwind directions below show how the label design will be positioned when it comes off a roll label.
If you’re still not sure which wind direction will work best with your labels or application method, our dedicated customer service team can help. Call us at 1-800-475-2235 or email sales@consolidatedlabel.com for further assistance.
